My "Family Car" was severely damaged by a young driver. I think she may have been confused when she made a left turn in front of me leaving me nowhere to go but into her car. As I continued to roll with the steering rods broken, I drove into the side of a fence pushing it over. My 25 MPH speed and the greater size and weight of the Pontiac probably saved my wife and me from injury other than bruises. My dog in the back seat also was ok except for a cut above his eye. Also, the 24 year old driver and her passenger were ok due to the airbags they had. However, their Hyundai Ascent was totaled. Many of you read my cry for help, and came to the rescue. You supplied needed parts at very low or no cost. Generosity and friendship along with kindness and emotional support were in abundance. It would take too much time in this writing to thank each of you. However, I did that along the repair journey back over the next 12 months. In addition to the repairs, I found other work needed after 60 years of ownership and 30 years after the restoration. Following the LOST YEAR during its repair, we have had three great years of driving the Pontiac to occasional shows but mostly just for fun trips during good weather and sometimes even when it is less than perfect. The Seattle area has a lot of that. When I am driving, I am constantly thinking of all of you as the caring fellow hobbyist's that you are. Thank you for everything. And thank you for just being very nice people. I am proud to be one of you. I have attached a few Memory pictures from before, during, and after.
